WCNY is seeking a talented Videographer/Editor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in shooting and editing video content across various media formats. Responsibilities include creating high-quality video content for clients, such as commercials, corporate videos, and promotional materials. Responsibilities:
– Incorporates best practices regarding confidentiality into all job duties and communications in accordance with WCNY policies and procedures.
– Capture and edit video footage for various projects.
– Set up and operate cameras, lights, and other equipment.
– Manage audio recordings and sound effects.
– Ensure quality control of all video and audio recordings.
– Edit footage to create a cohesive story.
– Create special effects, titles, and graphics for videos.
– Operates studio cameras, teleprompter, and other control room equipment as assigned.
– Encode and output videos for online video hosting, video sharing, and social networking sites
– Maintain all equipment and accessories used for production in the studio and on location
– Work with the Studio Supervisor to build and light sets.
– Adhere to WCNY regular assigned TV production scheduled hours
– Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and the president.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
– Strong knowledge of HD cameras, lighting and audio equipment, and related accessories.
– Familiar with production workflows, principals of videography, cinematography, editing, encoding, and output
– Ability to use both Mac and Windows platform computers, software, and peripherals
– Proficient with Adobe Suite and Final Cut Professional utilizing techniques such as assembling shots, applying transitions, creating titles and graphics, adding voiceovers and music
– Meticulous and creativity skills
– Excellent people skills
– Ability to work under pressure and deliver time sensitive projects
Education and Experience:
– Associate degree in Electronic Media or TV/Radio Production.
– Understanding of lighting and set design.
– Understanding of story creation and information gathering.
– Interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and communication.
– Focus on delivering results and team success.
– Reliable Transportation required
– Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop).
– Problem-solving.
Physical Requirements:
– Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
– Must be able to lift to lighting grid using a ladder or a forklift and move up to 75lbs occasionally.
