WCNY appoints Alay Mehta

WCNY, Central New York’s community-owned flagship public broadcaster announces the following appointment:

Alay Mehta joins as vice president business development & chief technology officer. Mehta has served at numerous multinational Fortune 500 companies and early stage startups. His most recent role was as vice president of business development at Raycom Media. Prior to that he was vice president of digital business operations & consumer platforms at the Gannett Company. Mehta has been involved with many startups within smart audio, video advertising, 360 video, and augmented reality. He also worked at Newell Brands, Turner Entertainment, CNN, and Motorola. Mehta holds six patents. He is an alumnus of the Center for Creative Leadership.

He earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University and a Master of Science in Engineering from Cornell University.
