WCNY Celebrates 20 Years of “Ivory Tower” with a Live One-Hour Special

WCNY, Central New York’s community-owned public broadcaster, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Ivory Tower,” WCNY’s weekly public affairs TV program. Join us for a live one-hour special featuring past and present hosts and panelists on Friday, Sept. 16 from 8-9 p.m. on WCNY-TV.

For 20 years, “Ivory Tower” has been must-watch TV for Central New Yorkers on Friday nights. The round-table discussion that focuses on news and events from the perspective of academicians from across CNY, has been the backbone of local programming on WCNY-TV. Hosted through the years by David Rubin, David Chanatry, and Barbara Fought, we are excited to continue its run for another 20 years.

“Ivory Tower” airs on Fridays at 8 p.m. on WCNY-TV. Each episode is available after it airs on demand at wcny.org/ivory_tower. The series is sponsored by James Jordan Associates, Geddes Federal Savings & Loan Association, and J.W. Burns & Company Investment Counsel.

For viewing information, visit www.wcny.org/wheretowatch. To learn more about the show, visit wcny.org/ivory_tower.

Members of the media interested in covering the event at the WCNY-TV Studios at 415 W. Fayette St. in Syracuse should contact lauren.easton@wcny.org by Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. EST.
