WCNY president and CEO Robert J. Daino named Temple Adath Yeshurun Citizen of the Year

Robert J. Daino was named Citizen of the Year by Temple Adath Yeshurun at its annual event May 8. The community-wide event, recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in either their fields or for their voluntarism.
Daino was recognized for his vision, the new WCNY Broadcast and Education Center. The 56,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility opened last spring on the Near Westside. Two initiatives implemented under Daino’s leadership within the building are Enterprise America, a hands-on learning program for middle and high school students, and Centralcast LLC, a groundbreaking content management system that serves 20 percent of PBS viewers nationwide.
Daino’s entrepreneurial spirit, dedication and determination to building a connected community and the ability to foster relationships, and partnerships are recognized in Central New York and beyond.
