WCNY to carry Gov. Cuomo’s State of the State address Jan. 9

WCNY will provide live coverage of New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s 2013 State of the State address at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9 from the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany.

WCNY’s coverage of Cuomo’s address will start at 1 p.m. on channel 24.1 (PBS). Susan Arbetter, WCNY’s news and public affairs director, will be joined by political commentators before and after the address from the NYNet television studios in Albany.

Arbetter and her guests will provide in-depth commentary and analysis and discuss what the governor has planned for 2013.

Arbetter is the host of WCNY’s “The Capitol Pressroom,” an hour-long public radio news magazine that broadcasts daily from the third floor of the State Capitol in Albany. The Capitol Pressroom’s Jan. 9 show also will include analysis and commentary about Cuomo’s address, and it can be heard on several radio stations throughout the state or on WCNY’s website at www.wcny.org/capitolbureau. The podcast of the Jan. 9 show will be available starting at about 1 p.m. Jan. 9.
