CNY Heroes, Episode 32 – Alexander Behm, Chief Community Officer for Clear Path for Veterans

On this edition of CNY Heroes Dan’s guest is Alexander Behm, Chief Community Officer for Clear Path for Veterans. He’s a Central New York native and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Enlisting in 2005 as an infantryman, Behm served with the 1st Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team Company, completing multiple global deployments. He later served with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, during a deployment to Ramadi, Iraq.

A 2013 graduate of Le Moyne College, Alexander began his civilian career by working with fellow veterans at Easterseals Military and Veteran Services in Syracuse.

Joining Clear Path in 2015, Alexander developed the Warriors Working Program, which provides career services, mentorship, and job placement support to veterans, service members, and their families. In 2017, Alexander transitioned to the role of Chief Operations Officer, and in 2020, he assumed the position of Executive Director of Clear Path New York, leading the organization’s efforts to expand its impact across the state. Currently serving as Chief Community Officer, Alexander is responsible for fostering community engagement, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring veterans and their families have access to vital resources they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
