‘WCNY Community Connect’ Premieres March 3 on WCNY-TV

A new, occasional series called “WCNY Community Connect” will premiere on March 3 at 2 p.m. on WCNY-TV. It will feature coverage of events that reflect the hearts and souls of the communities that we serve in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. The series will kick off with an episode that captures a recent Faiths United for Peace gathering organized by InterFaith Works and hosted at Onondaga Community College. The group brought together a cross-denominational coalition of faith leaders who united in song and prayer to inspire hope for the Middle East, Ukraine, Sudan, and Congo.

We reside in a community that takes immense pride in uplifting one another. We are all committed to improving education, economic opportunity, and the quality of life across our villages, towns, and cities. There is so much going on that raises our spirits, ranging from music festivals or farmers markets to antique car shows, school graduations, dance recitals, and other gatherings that enrich our magnificent region.

“WCNY Community Connect” will aim to recognize the special moments that highlight this intrinsic character of our area. We hope you will tune in to “Faiths United for Peace” on March 3 at 2 p.m. on WCNY-TV and 5 p.m. on WORLD, March 9 at 5 p.m. on WORLD, or watch it anytime on demand at www.wcny.org. Additionally, we invite you to enjoy future episodes of “WCNY Community Connect” on both television and Community FM radio.
