March 7, 2016: child welfare, Siena Poll, Heather Briccetti and Dr. Don Levy, YMCAs


We looked at ways to enhance child welfare programs centered around child abuse, foster care and homelessness with Kari Siddiqui, the Schuyler Center’s Senior Policy Analyst, and Stephanie Gendell, a government and policy supervisor with Citizens’ Committee for Children.

Steve Greenberg shared the latest results of the Siena Poll, which focuses on the presidential race.

Heather Briccetti, CEO of the Business Council, and Don Levy, director of the Siena College Research Institute, discussed a survey on Upstate CEOs, which highlights New York’s economy and industries.

Construction groups are pushing for a $30 million capital construction program for the YMCAs of New York. Aaron Hilger, president of the Builders Exchange of Rochester, and Kyle Stewart, executive director of the NYS Alliance of YMCAs, joined Susan to discuss the initiative.
