Our New Neighbors, Episode 10 – Syracuse City Schools’ Refugee Assistance Program

The Refugee Assistance Program in the Syracuse City School District has been in place since the 1970s and provides critical services to immigrants and refugees who re-settle in our region. Jasenko Mondom, himself a refugee from Bosnia, is an Employment Specialist with the program. In this episode of Our New Neighbors, Jaskenko talks with Host Maryna Bogovska about the services he and his colleagues provide. He also talks about his role as an adviser to Micron Corporation, which is about to spend $500-million to fund improvements to community programs and facilities in advance of the construction of their massive computer chip manufacturing plant.
