Extend your TV viewing options with YouTube TV

YouTube TV is the first Over-The-Top (OTT) live streaming provider to partner with public television. This service will initially launch in November with a few stations, including WCNY, with additional stations being added on a regular basis. It will contain live streams from PBS stations and PBS KIDS 24/7 network (WiCkNeY KIDS on WCNY).

YouTube TV (owned by Google) is a virtual multichannel video programming distributor or vMVPD, that offers a subscription service for channels from major broadcast networks and local affiliates, in the form of live and on-demand programming, that is delivered over the internet to web, mobile, and Over-The Top (OTT) apps.

WCNY is already available on regular TV via cable and Over-The-Air (OTA) as well as computers, mobile phones and Smart TV’s via WCNY, PBS and Passport apps. Now with a subscription to YouTube TV, viewers will have another way to access WCNY’s live national broadcast of PBS and PBS KIDS on their mobile phones, computers, and Smart TV’s.
