WCNY presents ‘Movie and a Cookie’ in Utica, Syracuse and Rome

WCNY appoints Peter S. Zalizniak director of business development and sales

Peter S. Zalizniak, of Bridgeport, has been named WCNY’s director of business development and sales. Zalizniak has more than a dozen years of experience growing sales for corporations and technology companies. Prior to joining WCNY, Zalizniak was senior sales manager for EMS Technologies/Honeywell, where he secured more than $1 million in new business annually and grew existing accounts to record highs. He also held positions at Iridium Satellite and Stratos Mobile Networks in Bethesda, Md. WCNY to feature special Nova program about Hurricane Sandy Nov. 18

WCNY will preempt its scheduled Sunday evening programming Nov. 18 to air a special “Nova” that takes viewers moment by moment through Hurricane Sandy and explores what made it so much more devastating than other hurricanes. “Inside the Megastorm” will air at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 and again at 9 p.m. Nov. 21 on WCNY channels 24.1 and 24.4.
