WCNY presents ‘Movie and a Cookie’ at Syracuse Stage in March

WCNY’s popular “Movie and a Cookie’’ series for children and their parents presents “Happy Feet” at 2 p.m. March 10 at Syracuse Stage, 820 E. Genesee St., Syracuse.

The family-friendly afternoon features a favorite children’s movie, free cookies, a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog and activities for children. The doors open at 1:30 p.m.; the show starts at 2 p.m.

In “Happy Feet,” a penguin named Mumble has a terrible singing voice and later discovers he has no heart song. However, Mumble has a talent for something that none of the penguins had ever seen before; tap dancing.

Tickets for “Movie and a Cookie” are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 14, and free for children under the age of 5. To purchase tickets, visit www.wcny.org/events or call (315) 453-2424. Tickets will be available for purchase up until the day before the screening. Tickets also can be purchased at Syracuse Stage.
